A modem is not required to use PhoneValet. The PhoneValet package includes a USB Telephone Adapter hardware device as well as the software, and that’s all you need to use the features of PhoneValet. A modem is required if you wish to send and receive faxes on your Macintosh or if you intend to use a modem for other purposes. PhoneValet will not interfere with the operation of any modem you may have.
