Do i have rabies?
Nope. First of all, the puppies would probably be dead by now if they had been bitten by anything rabid – more likely from the bite than the rabies. And besides, that’s a story you certainly would have heard – don’t you think?! In addition, it’s really hard too get rabies, even if you have been bitten by a rabid animal – the virus doesn’t live very long outside the body, and simply doesn’t tranfer very well. Much of the alarm is that if you do contract the disease and don’t get treatment right away, it’s fatal. For the most part, if baby animals are acting as if they are healthy, they are. Anything that young tends to get sick very fats, and not survive for long enough to pass it along. So chances are almost in the impossible range that you have been exposed to rabies by the bite of a baby puppy, no matter what…but that doesn’t mean it’s fun or good for the puppies’ training to let them bite you. You can get a nice big bottle of icky yellow Listerine, put some in a small spray bottle
