Do Hunza lights come with transformers?
Some Hunza fittings come with an option of having an integral transformer this is particularly useful when routing a transformer is a problem i.e. one cable coming out of the wall. These transformers are rated at 60 VA (volts Output) so these fittings can only take 20-watt lamps they are dimmable with a leading edge dimmer switch. These fittings are refferd to as Retro fittings some of the other fittings are available with this option e.g. Bollard, Pole,Walkway,Twig lite,Border lite and Tier Lites. All of the other fittings will require a remote transformer. These are connected to the mains circuit which would be routed around the border of the garden and should be 240-volt steel wired armoured cable. The transformers should be positioned as near to the fittings as possible as voltage drop is present on the low voltage side. L.I. transformers are IP67 suitable for total burial. UK manufactured, wire wound mechanical transformers totally encapsulated in resin and is dimmable.
