Speaking of ancient Troy, yes it did in fact exist. And it has been located and researched by scientist today. Some of the excavation has yielded evidence to support the existence of historic Helen. Oddly enough, the location of Troy was found to be very much where Homer stated it was in his dialogue.

It actually did. The battles of it is unknown i think. Exploerers have found ruins of the city Troy with all of its buildings.

There was a very good show on the Discovery Channel which shows an archeologist who discovered some ruins he “believes” are the ancient city of Troy. Even the experts don’t know for sure, but it looks like the answer is yes.
