The NFL did not do the right thing by issuing more stringent rules on managing player concussions. Sounds odd, I know, but bear with me. Football is by it’s very nature a game of hard hits, to make regulations on managing player concussions is like making a race car driver sit out a few races if he wrecks his car. The fans who pay lots of money to go watch these games or to get these games on NFL network do so to see the big hits, to see the concussions. If the league wishes to put more stringent rules on managing player concussions, they might as well change the game to “two hand touch” or possibly “flag football” and see how there ratings drop and there vast revenues fly away.
