Those who are motivated by racist ideology usually hide behind other reasons. Those who have an irrational belief in the superiority of the private sector will never give public employees the benefit of the doubt anyway. Through the privatization studies on the UNC campus and elsewhere, state employees have demonstrated time and again that the public sector can do it better and cheaper than the private sector. Anyone with the honest belief that the only reason to privatize is to save taxpayers money and provide higher quality service will have no quarrel with the results of these studies.
