Could exposure to lead cause problems with attention deficit disorder?
It is possible that exposure to lead could contribute to problems with attention deficit disorder, but many other factors could also contribute to this. It would be difficult to attribute such a problem only to lead exposure. None of the people surveyed reported problems with attention deficit disorder and no one with high blood lead levels reported such a problem. Did the survey look at the long-term, low level exposure effects due to lead exposure? The survey did look at anything that we knew to be associated with low level, long term effects due to lead exposure. We did not find any problems based on the survey conducted. Is there a time frame for health effects to show up from long term, low level exposure? There is not an expected time frame in which symptoms due to long term, low level exposure will show up.
