First. reasonable accommodations are not ‘the same opportunity’ as what is already being provided/would be provided to people without disabilities. In college, you are trying to obtain a category called ‘reasonable accommodations’–which although not altering the content of a course/test, is something which your college classmates would not obtain specifically because they are not people with disabilities. It’s great your parents are supporting you, but be careful they keep their distance with this process. Unlike public school, any college/university is not legally obligated to meet with parents of students with disabilities..etc. YOU are the only person who is legally obligated to advocate for your own reasonable accommodations in the college/university environment. Secondly, are tests not already being offered in print format to every college student–whether online/offline? And the bulk of most college courses (esp non-math/science/physical courses) is WRITING papers.
