CLIMATE CHANGE? HUH?
Climate Change is the measured long-term shift or change in the climate of a certain location, region, and on a larger scaleā¦the whole planet. These changes are seen in weather, temperature, rainfall, humidity and various other ecological features of our biosphere and are caused by both natural and human factors. In addition, the study of climate change engages atmospheric science and meteorology, but the subject is so complex that it involves many other areas of the earth sciences, as well as different disciplines, such as physics, chemistry, and even biology. This complexity makes climate science both fascinating and controversial. It also undergoes rapid change as new facts and analyses emerge.
The impact of Humans on the planet is minimal. The impact on Flora and Fauna is quite major. The Climate change is happening. It will not be stopped because it is NATURAL. Think of a brainwave scan – loads of spikes roughly following a sine wave. Now think of the climate on Earth over its history. Superimpose the two together. The highest points are Ice Ages. The lowest points are Hot Hot Hot! The climatologists agree that an Ice Age is overdue according to the ‘average’ way that the climate has already changed. If the entire world went ‘Green’ now with no exceptions, the Earth would continue to change. Greenhouse gases are a naturally occurring phenomenon. Instead of the Ice Age that is expected, we are heading towards a Hot Hot Hot time! It is part of the way the Earth renews itself. Species will become extinct and others will survive or even new ones will rise. In geological time the Earth is not an old planet. Averages are difficult to see.
