Can we protest against pet shops?!?
I am just going to say (and get hated and ridiculed) that I do have a puppy from a pet store, and I’m pretty sure he was from a puppy mill. We bought him at about 3 months old, he had been back and forth between the pet store and the pound, and was going back to the pound to be euthinized. We tried to work something out with the pound to get him from there before the euthinization, but no cigar. So, we had to buy him from the pet store. I shudder to think he came from such a bad place, he is such a sweet little thing, and like most pet store dogs, he ended up having Parvo, which we cured him of and luckily, 8 years later, he has had no other health problems. I know that we supported a mill, and I feel terribly about it, and have never set foot in that store after that (except when we went in to get some money back for being sold a sick *damaged* dog, I think they gave us a full refund, which means they didnt really profit at all).
