Can the Pen recognize handwritten text?
The Pen cannot recognize handwritten text as it does printed text. However, if you wish to scan handwriting, small icons and highly stylized fonts that the QuickLink or InfoScan applications would not normally capture, you can use the Image Capture application, which can be added onto the Pen, FREE OF CHARGE, if you have a flash card with enough memory inserted in the Pen’s battery compartment. The application does not INCLUDE handwriting recognition. Handwriting is captured as a picture file and if desired, can be edited by a desktop graphics application. This is particularly helpful for students who need to scan handwritten notes, genealogists wishing to acquire data from original documents, and attorneys and other professionals who wish to capture signatures.
