– The HURD FEEDER comes with 4 pins to use as anchors in the leg base plates. When properly installed the pins reduce chances of storm tip over. Keeping the feeder at least 50% full also helps anchor the unit. In our years of testing, we have never had a feeder blown over. In service, they have withstood thunderstorm winds of 70-80 mph.
