Can teachers earn a stipend?
Yes, however, you must be one of the 15 teachers who participate as part of the Experimental Group Teachers: In the early fall of Project Year 1 fifteen teachers will be selected. Selection will be random in order to create a stratified (by grade level) sample of NCSD’s Social Studies teachers. Experimental Group teachers will be required to participate in at least 85 project hours each year for Year 1 and Year 2. Please notify the Project Director if you wish to be considered for the Experimental Group. Stipends will be provided to teachers for compensation of their time (non-contracted time).
