Can people enter free-form text?
Yes. If you select a “text” question for one line or multiple lines then someone taking a survey can enter free-form text. We have been surprised in how much detail people provide from their iPhones, iPod touch and iPads, as well as other smartphones. The text is displayed in the reporting system in a “word cloud” to make it easy to distill the survey submissions and hone in on the key ideas people are expressing.
