Can MRDCL handle all types of data?
MRDCL can handle most common data types. These include single variables (e.g. gender), multiple response variables (e.g. which of these brands have you ever bought?), integers (e.g. what age are you in years?), real numbers (e.g. how many litres of petrol did you buy today?), characters (e.g. what was the airport code you departed from?), dates (what date did you last have this illness?). The language used to define these variables keeps to a small number of rules that allow flexible variable definitions.
