Can I transfer my images/results via a network, archive them on a long-term basis, post-process them on a workstation and distribute them via the Internet?
Digital images are usually archived on a standard CD-R that can be duplicated and sent to other institutions. There they can be easily read on a DICOM workstation, because of their DICOM compatibility. For a large number of patients, you can replace archiving on CD with a central scalable deep archive where you can archive patient data for long-term use. For this purpose, we have developed ACOM.net, our dedicated cardiology network. In addition, you can use our ACOM.web for image distribution within you hospital or for worldwide data transfer. ACOM.web is not limited to cardangio images. It is equally suitable for displaying and distributing DICOM 3 images generated on other modalities (CT, MR etc.).
