Can I run multiple copies of Stata on Remote Desktop?
You can, but please don’t! The servers don’t have unlimited computing power so try to avoid running anything that’s highly CPU-intensive, as it will impact on other people. If you’re using Stata, run your jobs one at a time rather than launching multiple windows. If you have any serious number crunching to do while you’re off-site, speak to your IT support team about other options, such as the the School’s High Performance Computing service.
