We STRONGLY recommend using only shocks supplied by Ibis. Even a tiny change in shock length or stroke can result in CATASTROPHIC FAILURE of the frame. Another issue is that the suspension is designed in conjunction with the spring rates of the shock and changing the spring rate can adversely affect the performance.
