Can I install the license manager on a server separate from the computer that ArcGIS – Desktop resides on?
Yes. To do this, the computer with the license manager installed must be on the same network as the computer with ArcGIS Desktop installed. You have to point the client computer (computer with ArcGIS Desktop installed) to the server computer (computer with license manager installed).
