Can I get certification in Special Education through the Transition to Teaching program?
No. In order to get Special Education on your teaching license, you must already have a teaching license. After you complete a teaching program (whether it is our traditional program or our Transition to Teaching program) you may then take the 8-10 Special Education courses to add onto your license. You may choose to take the Special Education classes at the undergraduate or graduate level.
