Can I change North Up / Track Up orientation directly from the map page?

Yes, temporarily. If you are in track up mode the compass rose will be visible in the upper left of the map page. Tap the rose to change to north up mode temporarily. You can exit north up mode by hitting “x” and the map page will return to track up mode.
