Can anyone have IV sedation?
Yes, if their health allows. We make this sedation available to any medically fit patient who needs it to undergo a complex procedure, or even a simple procedure if he or she is very anxious. We’ve even used IV sedation for patients who have a strong gag reflex and needed to have an impression taken. Dr. Chu will discuss your options and help determine whether you are a candidate for IV sedation. If not, we also offer a full “comfort menu” that includes oral sedation and special numbing techniques.
