Are Trouser Snakes Venomous ?
The common trouser snake is mostly nocturnal, and can be found in dark caves. When relaxed, this species is quite friendly, but when threatened it can release a potent spray in defense. When searching for the trouser snake, it is best to wear sunglasses or other eye protection. Scientist have recently discovered that the trouser snake will often aim at the victims eyes. The best protection from a trouser snake bite is to keep it in a bag for easier handling and transport.
