Are there universal target sequences for Archaea?

Until recently (Klunker et al. 2003), Archaea were thought to possess Group II chaperonins only. Group II chaperonin sequences cannot be amplified with the universal, degenerate cpn60 primers and so there is no region of the Group II sequence corresponding to the Group I chaperonin universal target.
