Are there great discipline problems in English Schools?

Yep there are in general problems with schools and discipline. This is mainly in city schools though. If you train in the UK you will be taught how to deal with bad behaviour and a good teacher will use strategies to combat it. However, there is not much respect for education in the UK like there is in other countries. Many parents do not respect education and are far too often defending their child’s poor behaviour. Saying that however, teaching science is a good one here as there is a shortage of science teachers. On the other hand, there are few schools who are not making redundencies, so getting a job at the moment is quite difficult. If you want an example of how many jobs are available at the moment go to www.tes.co.uk/jobs Hope that helps!
