Are there any good reasons to use a search engine other than Google?
I often try “alternative” search engines. Unfortunately, the best they seem to manage is “mostly just as good as Google”, but not “better than Google”, in terms of the list of results produced. Some search engines try to tempt you with different features that Google doesn’t have. For example, Ixquick tries to protect your privacy https://eu.ixquick.com/uk/protect-privac… and fizy focuses entirely on music and videos http://fizy.com/ . You might also want to use an alternative search engine if you feel that Google’s user interface has become too complicated, slow or fiddly.
