NO!! Contrary to what is being said on some foreign LaPerm sites, LaPerms coat comprises all three hair types (down, awn and guard hairs) all of which are curled. The LaPerm also MUST have long curly whiskers. Devon and Cornish Rexes often times have very short broken whiskers because of their single coats.
