These products can be used as food and drink for human consumption and therefore can be classified as food under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act and Rules (PFA). Herbalife products, enriched with vitamins and minerals, are composed, formulated and developed exclusively by Herbalife on a proprietary basis in compliance with the standards laid down under PFA for food products and can be categorized under PFA as proprietary nutritional food products. The ingredients that comprise Herbalife products are allowed for use in preparation of human food and are permitted to be used in food products. Herbalife products do not contain ingredients prohibited by the PFA to be used in food products.
