A. A certified plot plan is not needed for a retaining wall, if the wall is retaining less than four feet of unbalanced fill. If a wall is retaining more than four feet of unbalanced fill a permit is needed, a structural drawing by a registered design professional must accompany the permit, and a structural affidavit by a registered design professional must be submitted after the wall is constructed for the final sign off.
