Any news about the Darren Shan movie?
Universal Studios have bought the film rights to my first three vampire books, and they plan to combine them to make one single movie. Oscar-winner (L.A. Confidential) Brian Helgeland wrote the script and director Paul Weitz (American Pie, About A Boy) re-wrote it. Lauren Shuler Donner is producing (she made the X-Men movies). John C Reilly will be playing the part of Larten Crepsley; Chris J Kelly will be Darren; Josh Hutcherson will be Steve. Other actors include Salma Hayek (Madame Truska), Ken Watanabe (Mr Tall) and Michael Cerveris (Mr Tiny). Filming started on February 19th 2008, in New Orleans in America. There is no release date at the moment.
