Yes. There are definitely restrictions about where you can work. Here are some guidelines established by the US Department of Labor: 16 and 17 year-olds can work any day, any time of day, and for any number of hours. There are no restrictions on the work hours of youth age 16 or older. 14 and 15 years old can legally work outside school hours after 7 a.m. and until 7 p.m. Exception – From June 1 through Labor Day, work until 9 p.m. 13 Years Old and Younger can: -Baby-sit -Deliver newspapers -Work as an actor or performer.
