Technical explaination: The current data path is found in the sage settings in your application options. The data path you find in the sage settings is whatever the setting was last used when running the sage wizard, from any machine. This is why the server should always be setup first (setup step 13 of the installation notes). This is because the server will by default find it’s data at a local address (Eg C:\…..) But the client computers should be linking through the shared network drives using a UNC path (Universal Naming Convension). (Eg \\server\…) So after the client has used the wizard the sage data path points to the server format of the path. This is fine as the server will also recognise the server path path format to locate the data files. This is also the reason why it is preferable to use UNC (Universal Naming Convension Eg. \\
