Gurgaon has already been considered as the most favored investment destination in NCR. In fact the rate at which the city is progressing is quite impressive. It is one of the fastest growing and developing cities of the country. Similar is the case with Noida. Till a few years back, both Gurgaon and Noida were barren lands with no easy connectivity to Delhi or other areas. Real estate developers changed the very look of these cities with the launch of a number of housing projects in NCR, along with the growth of a number of MNCs and IT companies. Today, Gurgaon and Noida are known for their glitzy high rise buildings, big industrial houses, shopping malls, entertainment centres, education institutes, hospitals and medical centres, good roads and transport facilities, metro, and many more such essential amenities required for a comfortable stay.
However, the cost of living in NCR is quite expensive. Only the higher income level groups of people are purchasing residential properties. It is always important to note that majority of Indian population belongs to the mid and low-income groups. These people are very important for the economy as they provide critical community services. However, it is seen that in NCR, there is a shortage of affordable houses. For people who are working as teachers, nurses, police officers, and in other jobs in these locations cannot always afford to buy a house in Gurgaon or Noida and in many cases they have to travel a long distance to come to office regularly. Similarly , the senior citizens also find shortage of houses. The need for all times is now affordable housing in Gurgaon, Noida and other areas close to Delhi.
