This recipe may be thought of as a fall pie. But you will love this recipe anytime of year. You can pick up a unbaked pie crust at the super market, or make your own, the choice is yours. You just can’t go wrong with with this delicious pie. It is easy to bake, just don’t count the calories.
COOKING TIME : 40 – 50 minutes
SERVES : 10
INGREDIENTS:
36 caramel candies
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecan halves
9-inch unbaked pie crust
METHOD:
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Melt caramels in water, and butter in a sauce pan. Stir until mixture is smooth.
3. Combine sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt.
4. Add together with caramel mixture, and stir well.
5. Stir in the pecans, and pour into the crust.
6. Bake in oven for 45 -50 minutes.
7. Cool completely before cutting.
8. Serve with a dollop of whip cream.
