If you are prone to bronchitis, you know the symptoms. Sometimes acute or severe bronchitis begins with just a tickle in the throat. Perhaps you develop a lingering cough or a slight case of laryngitis. The most efficient way to help yourself heal from bronchitis is to start to cure it as soon as you notice any symptoms.
The medications normally prescribed by a doctor involve heavy doses of mind-numbing and brain-fogging prescriptions. Mother Nature can cure bronchitis in a lesser amount of time with none of the side effects of prescription medications.
Apply all of the steps below. Each one is a natural replacement for the modern medicines normally prescribed by a doctor for bronchitis symptoms.
For the inability to breathe:
· Cut some fresh spruce or pine needles, about a quart full each time that you need to take a breathing treatment. Break the needles and crush them as much as possible; this releases their healing properties. Place them into a gallon of covered boiling water.
· When the green needles have boiled for approximately 10 minutes, you are ready to medicate.
· Hang your head over the steaming pot; cover your head and the pot with a clean towel.
· Breathe in the medicated steam as deeply as you can, and keep doing this until the water has cooled.
For the inflammation of the bronchial tubes:
· Mix one-quarter cup of green mustard leaves with a tablespoon of flour and a little water to make a “paste”.
· Wrap the paste in a piece of cheesecloth. Press the filled cheesecloth on your chest for about 20 minutes, while lying down.
· Afterwards, rub a little olive oil on your chest to keep the medication in the paste going into your skin and your bronchial tubes.
· Repeat this process every evening until you are well.
For the coughing:
· If you are lucky enough to know someone who makes their own elderberry cough syrup, this is the best for stopping an irritating cough. Elderberry is the natural ingredient found in many of the most effective commercial flu remedies.
· If you do not have access to elderberry cough syrup, another great cough remedy is peppermint tea, mixed with honey and lemon.
· Mix two tablespoons of dried or fresh peppermint in a cup hot boiling water. Cover it and let it sit for 10 minutes. Drink it as often as needed.
You will need an antibiotic for the infection:
· Garlic is nature’s most powerful antibiotic. You will need to drink at least two cups of “Garlic Soup” every day that you are sick.
· Garlic Soup is easy to make. Peel one clove of garlic, then slice it lengthwise, and place it in a cup and a half of boiling water.
· Add a teaspoon of butter, a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper, and then sprinkle it with nutmeg. Nutmeg is also a natural antibiotic.
For the fever:
· Drink 2-3 cups of honeysuckle tea per day.
· To make the tea, put two tablespoons of dried honeysuckle flowers in a cup of boiling water. Cover the cup and let it steep for 10 minutes. If you have access to fresh honeysuckle, increase the amount of the flowers in the tea to one handful.
· Drink this herbal tea as often as the fever returns.
If you do not have honeysuckle growing in your yard, health food stores and herb shops carry it in dried form.
Nature knows what she is doing; her gifts to you are vast, effective and safe.
