Yuck, why does the German flag have black on it? And why do German worship their black eagle?
Many theories and stories relate to the meaning of the German flag colors. There are also many interpretations about it since colors have changed in the past as it relates to the history of the German people. But basically, one interpretation states that the German flag has a black color in it because in combination with gold, it is the symbol for Austria, which is considered “German” and a country which had the most influence over Southern Germany. While the red color, if you’re interested to know, is a reference to the North German Hanseatic League. Others state (which is far from the truth) that it refers to Karl Marx (the birth of Communism/socialism). Marx, as you know, is German. Germans doesn’t “worship” the Black Eagle. It is a bird of prey that is merely used as the national heraldic bird. Besides many countries other than Germany use the eagle as a national heraldic animal. The USA and the Philippines, two countries poles apart, use the eagle also. And no, they don’t “worship
