You went to Veysonnaz, Switzerland to test shorter skis. How did that work?
I think the difficult part about today, especially first run, was the snow conditions. It was super injected before, then it snowed on top of it, and there was this tricky layer of soft snow and ice. Your skis wouldn’t grab or would hook up too hard depending on which layer you hit. It’s hard to have confidence when you’re going through variable course conditions. I’m kind of a wild skier, moving all over the ski, and that doesn’t bode well in gnarly conditions. But I knew it was going to be tight and I had been training for it. I knew what it was going to be but I just had to hammer it down second run. I got lucky in not going out. I think the snow conditions were what took people out. How do you feel about slalom? I feel like my slalom has made a big step forward in the last couple weeks. I’ve been saying that since the beginning of the year but I think the consistency is there now. I have some new Rossi skis I’m really liking now. It’s just about putting two good runs together. Ther
