You say I can either boot Linux through the “XBE bootloader” or through the Cromwell Clean BIOS. What are the advantages and the disadvantages of these methods?
With the XBE method, you need to have a modchip installed with a hacked native BIOS in order to run Linux. This is because the Linux XBE is not signed by Microsoft. Because you’re using a hacked native BIOS, you can still play the native games too. With the Cromwell method, which is a 256KByte clean BIOS itself, you are able to install and boot into Linux directly, without needing any Microsoft code. This is faster and causes no problems with any question about copyright.
