Voltage losses in wires are dependent on length and area. The ACS cables are 1.5 m – 60 inches long compared to the cables from the battery often being 10 m – 33 feet long. The longer the cable, the larger area required. Power losses however, are not significant as trim tabs are used intermittently not continously.
