You offer courses of study at two campuses: News/Information and Strategic Communications at Lawrence and Integrated Marketing Communications at Edwards. How do I choose?
Most students who enter Marketing Communications at the Edwards Campus are already working in marketing or corporate communications and have a specialty. They want to integrate their expertise with other areas to improve their strategic skills and manage the process at a higher level. Many students who attend the Lawrence Campus to study News/Information or Marketing Communications seek to build on strong liberal-arts backgrounds and enter careers in journalism and mass communication fields. Some students have experience but want to change directions and sharpen their skills in another area. Some have extensive experience and want to obtain graduate degrees to begin university research and teaching careers. News/information covers reporting, editing and producing for newspaper, magazine and broadcast outlets. Strategic Communications covers advertising, public relations, corporate communications, sales and management. In KU’s multimedia course structure, all students are exposed to all
