Try your card on a few doors which you know you have access to. If it doesn’t work on any and we have already verified that we have your correct information entered into our system then it is unlikely that the card readers are broken. It is likely that the surface of the magnetic stripe of your UCR ID card is scratched or something similar, which has warped the information stored on it. You will need to obtain a new card in this case.
