You bought the sim I was renting on and you cleared my parcel–I had paid tier to the previous owner. What happened?
Whenever possible when we do a land merger we try to do the right thing by any tenants that were there. In fact, because we, and the tenants of land we purchase, have been burned so often we try never to buy land that has tenants. But if we do and the previous owner has not paid us the forward tier that you paid them then we request that they move the tenants out before the transfer. If they do not fulfill this obligation, then we must clear the land ourselves and we do not have the luxury of letting, often a dozen, sims sit idle with tier unpaid–we are not talking a few parcels or just a few $L of tier here. It is not up to us to notify you or to reimburse your tier but as a courtesy, we do our best. Ultimately, we have a commitment to pay the Lindens tens of thousands of USD per month and a commitment to continue to provide land to our customers–we need to keep up with those tier payments to make sure we can continue to have land for those customers. We are always very sorry that any
