Yikes! How can I remove DC++, BitTorrent, etc.?
On Windows systems, you can remove unwanted programs from your computer by performing the following actions: • From the start menu, click Control Panel. • Click the Add & Remove Programs icon. • Select the program in question from the list. • Click the remove link to the right of the program. • Click OK to finish. The above steps will not always work, however; some programs require that your machine access the network, in order to remove them. In these cases, you might not be able to remove the software on your machine from inside the ResNet. In Apple Classic and Apple OS X, you can remove software by dragging it into the Trash, and then emptying it. If your machine is overloaded with old software that is no longer appropriate or safe for your use, you might consider reinstalling your operating system, and starting over from scratch. However, this is a fairly extreme step. With a little effort, just about all software can be removed or neutralized on your computer.
