In addition to brainwashing, electroshock, radiation, and a number of other means tried, the CIA clandestinely dosed unwitting human subjects with LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide). At least one suicide is thought to have resulted from the erratic behaviour that resulted in some subjects, who experienced all varieties of mental roller-coaster rides, to say the least. Sneaky CIA researchers even dosed each other, in an equal combination of scientific research and practical jokery.
