Ownership of Folders Click the plus sign next to each key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop In the right pane scroll down the list to PaintDesktopVersion Double-click on the PaintDesktopVersion option The Edit DWORD Value dialog box will open. In the Value Data box type 0 (zero) and click ok. Close the registry editor and restart your machine.
