Ah, you mean that really BIGASS ball joint, the one which allows your _hub_ to _swivel_? Very unsurprisingly, this is called a swivel hub 🙂 The oil that’s leaking out of your swivel hub is diff oil, it’ll be leaking past an internal seal in your axle, washing the grease out of your cv joint (very bad) and then leaking past the rubber and felt seals on that bigass balljoint on your axle housing. You will need a basic tool kit, snap ring pliers, plus maybe a hub socket, I’m not sure of the size of the hub nut on the Sierras. You will need a swivel hub repair kit- http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Swivel-Overhaul-k… plus some diff oil, a tub of cv joint grease, wheel bearing grease, and maybe a small tube of sealant if you’re the sort of person who doesn’t like gaskets going in dry.
