Sure – don’t let it warp the game too much! You can refer to an Ark’s Strength score to restrict the number of skills allowed from the appropriate Ark type. A Warrior Strength of 3 would allow an Ark to have a maximum of 3 Warrior skills, and so on. That’s the price for multi-classing in WEGS.
