This is a good question and it is one that Hollis’s staff of researchers have looked into for a few years now. A preliminary theory that is being tossed around now in the office is that Hollis’s salary, his crappy apartment, and large white station wagon all contribute to him not having a girlfriend. We’re still hashing it out in the lab, but all signs so far point to these as being significant barriers to relationships with the opposite sex.
