Wouldnt the Rockledge hurt or compete with Explore Park?
No. In fact, the lodge would enhance Explore with tie-ins, lodging/meal packages, and increased awareness through marketing at the concierge and information alcove, and free shuttles to the nearby Explore Park. It would be linked to and greatly benefit Explore. By having two compelling destinations, this would further strengthen the Roanoke Valleys economic development efforts and achievement of critical mass, thereby producing more multi-day visitor stays in the Valley and more tourist spending.
