Most people will lose weight by simply decreasing their caloric intake and increasing their amount of activity. The problem with this is that most people feel very weak, very tired, have headaches and that “fuzzy” feeling that makes it hard to get anything done. And if you do have the strength to stick with it, you will be breaking down muscle mass and the “good” fat that you want to keep in your face and other areas. Also, your body goes into starvation mode so it starts trying to hold onto every calorie. And once you start eating again, it continues to hold onto calories. This causes roller coaster dieting which is not a good thing.
